With the help of volunteers, led walks are organized across Surrey so that you can enjoy walking and socializing together. If you’ve often thought about going for a walk, but had no one to go with, then this could be for you! There’ll always be someone at the starting point to greet you and lead the walk, and there is no need to book, just turn up!
Walks are provided free, but we would welcome a suggested donation of £2.00. If you can sign a gift aid declaration, we can reclaim the tax on donations. New walkers are asked to please fill in a Walker Registration Form on their first walk. Ask leaders for details.
Walks are based in two different areas:

Why Walk?
Walking is something that almost everyone can get involved in. You don’t need expensive equipment or a map. Just wear a pair of sensible shoes and carry a waterproof coat! Walking can improve your balance, mental alertness, weight management and flexibility. Walking also reduces the risk of heart disease, strokes, osteoporosis and diabetes.
Advisory Notes:
Please note that walkers take part entirely at their own risk. GO50 Age Concern Surrey cannot accept liability for any injuries or losses during the course of a walk.
GO50 programmes may also be obtained from libraries, by email via go50@acsurrey.org.uk, or send an s.a.e. to GO50, Age Concern Surrey, Rex House, William Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4QZ. For Walking Holidays organised by GO50 volunteers, click here.
